Portfolio – Ad Fed Blog

Backlit Creative was approached by the Advertising Federation of Minnesota to help rethink their blog. The problem: the blog was part of the same ASP .NET framework that the rest of the site was built on, causing limitations with interactive media and an inflexible content management system.

Andy Santamaria, Social Media Director for Ad Fed, wanted a more flexible blogging platform with increased functionality for writing and managing content and flexibility for making the blog more “social.”

Our solution: a custom-designed Thesis theme on the WordPress blogging platform. The new Ad Fed blog lives outside of the ASP .NET framework on its own subdomain, but fits seamlessly into the site design and function. The new blog looks exactly the same, but will provide a more user-friendly back-end content management system for its contributors and a more interactive experience for its readers.
